Pawel Swieboda

Pawel’s main focus is the brain and its centrality in the 21st century. He builds on extensive experience in government, private sector, European institutions as well as science management.
Paweł is a passionate advocate for active brain health and mental health policies, and a believer in the need for greater cognitive welfare. He shares a conviction that reliance on brain capital will be a key driver of societal progress and harmony in the next decades.
Paweł is Senior Fellow for Neurotechnology at the CFG. He is also Rapporteur for Technology Governance for the European Commission’s Expert Group on the Economic and Societal Impact of Research and Innovation. In his previous role, he was Director General of the Human Brain Project and CEO of EBRAINS AISBL, organisation building the Research Infrastructure for the study of the brain – EBRAINS.
Before that, he was Deputy Head and Head of Research of the European Political Strategy Centre at the European Commission.
