Mehmet Onur Cevik

Project Lead- Tech Policy and Enforcement

Brussels

Onur blends legal savvy and academic rigor to tackle digital governance challenges. A critical thinker and interdisciplinary bridge-builder, he shapes impactful solutions in tech policy.

As a trained lawyer, Onur monitors trends in EU tech policy, its enforcement, and impact across CFG’s tech programs, and contributes to overarching conversations like state capacity, democracy, and rule of law.

With a PhD in communication sciences from Ghent University, he is particularly passionate about emerging technologies as systems—institutions and practices that interact and evolve together, shaping societal and governance landscapes.

Before joining CFG, Onur honed his skills across thinktanks, local government, and civil society in research, policy, and grant-making roles, prioritizing the bridge between knowledge and practice. He enjoys working across disciplines, be it in tech policy, governance, or the intersections of law and innovation.
