Jasper Groen
Biotechnology Researcher
Jasper supports policymakers in navigating the opportunities and implications of emerging biotechnology innovations, drawing on his background in molecular biotechnology and DNA data storage to translate complex science into accessible, actionable insights.
Having completed both his B.Sc. and M.Sc. at Wageningen University & Research and pursued doctoral research at TU Delft, Jasper has built a strong foundation in molecular and cellular biotechnology, with a specialisation in one of science’s most exciting frontiers: DNA data storage.
His work sits at the intersection of life sciences and information technology, exploring how biological systems could transform the way humanity stores and accesses data at scale.
Beyond the lab, Jasper cares about the gap between scientific progress and public policy. He believes that next-generation technologies deserve decision-makers who truly understand them, and is committed to making complex science accessible and actionable for the policymakers shaping our future.
Jasper holds an M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Biotechnology from Wageningen University & Research.
