🍸 Tech & Tonic: When democracy and technology win

8:00PM CET Ristorante Il Rosmarino, Copenhangen

At our second Tech & Tonic event in Copenhagen, we discussed how democracy and technology could strengthen, even depend on, one another.

On the eve of the Copenhagen Democracy Summit Day 2: Tech and Democracy Day, we brought our Tech & Tonic event to Copenhagen.

Democracy and technology are two of the most powerful forces shaping our future. But are they working together — or at odds with each other? Lately, we’ve seen powerful technologies racing ahead while democracy seems to be losing ground. But what if these two forces could strengthen, even depend on, one another?

We kicked off with a special conversation featuring voices from both democracy and technology worlds, asking: what does it mean for democracy and technology to win – and what’s at stake if only one does? These insights set the tone for the big conversations that came the next day.

CFG presents Tech & Tonic, where conversations on emerging technologies – over a tipple (or two) – are sparked. Every quarter, we invite EU policymakers, researchers, and thought leaders to join us in an evening of networking and open conversations. Come with open minds; leave with fresh insights. P.s.: We’ll keep this strictly casual.
