Nina brings a political science perspective to biotechnology, focusing on regulatory frameworks, industrial dynamics, and the social and ethical dimensions of innovation, with particular attention to the convergence with other technologies like AI.

Nina connects biotechnology policy and emerging technologies, bringing her expertise in science diplomacy and regulatory frameworks for health innovation to CFG’s work on technology governance.At CFG, Nina draws on her extensive experience of how governments can effectively integrate emerging biotechnologies into public policy frameworks. Her work examines regulatory approaches to synthetic biology, health innovation ecosystems, and the diplomatic dimensions of technology governance.

She brings valuable experience from several years at the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, where she worked in economic diplomacy dedicated to health innovation, navigating the complex landscape where technology, geopolitics, and industrial matters meet.Nina also serves as Head of Policy for the European Society of Synthetic Biology (EuSynbioS), where she helps shape the policy agenda for this rapidly evolving field across Europe.

Her background combines technical understanding of biotechnology markets with hands-on experience in government policy-making and international diplomatic processes—a useful combination in today’s tech policy landscape. Nina earned her Master’s degree in Political Science from Sciences Po Grenoble, specialising in the integration of emerging technologies into public policies with a focus on the biotechnology market and its related sectors.
