Jorge is a Talos Fellow and researches how governments can prepare for effective AI governance. He tracks EU AI and tech innovation policies and shares CFG’s findings with EU policymakers.
Jorge is an Advanced AI Policy Analyst at CFG and a Talos Fellow. Before joining CFG, he worked for several years as a policy advisor in the Portuguese Parliament, focusing on a broad range of issues including climate, defense, and foreign policy. His current focus on AI policy reflects a deep interest in how governments and democratic institutions can adapt to and govern in an AI-driven world.
He holds an MSc in Politics from the University of Oxford and a BA in Philosophy from the University of Lisbon.
