Fabio Marinello
Foresight Analyst
Fabio joined CFG as a Talos Fellow and works with the Foresight Unit at the intersection of technical and governance research. He develops and integrates future AI scenarios using modeling tools from economics and foresight methods.
Fabio holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and a Master’s in Physics of Complex Systems, with a focus on quantum science and technologies. After a brief period working in software development, he became increasingly concerned with both the risks and opportunities posed by artificial intelligence. This led him to spend several months as an independent researcher in technical AI safety, participating in programs such as SPAR and facilitating courses for organizations like the Center for AI Safety.
Alongside this, Fabio developed a growing interest in AI policy and governance. As a Talos Fellow, he began exploring these domains more deeply, which eventually led to his placement at CFG. There, he now draws on his technical background to combine scenario-based storytelling with quantitative modeling, aiming to better understand how AI might reshape society.
