Bálint researches EU AI innovation policies and shares his findings directly with policymakers. A highlight of his work is bridging the world the AI research community with EU policymakers.
Bálint is a Senior Advanced AI Researcher at ICFG. His research into EU AI innovation policies has been featured in major media outlets, including Euractiv, Tagesspiegel, Science Business, Parliament Magazine, and Tech Policy Press.
Previously, he was an Accredited Parliamentary Assistant for MEP Maydell, where he focused on EU AI, biotechnology, and quantum policies. In addition to contributing to the EU AI Act negotiations, he lectured and spoke at the Universities of Oxford, Cambridge, and Leiden and briefed US Congressional staffers on EU AI policy developments.
His practical experience is complemented by a strong academic foundation in Economics and Public Policy from the Universities of Oxford and Leiden.
