We currently concentrate on four emerging technologies: advanced AI, biotechnology, neurotechnology, and  climate interventions. What sets these technologies apart is that they can have an asymmetric impact on a global scale; are developing at accelerating or even exponential rates; and lack clearly defined governance frameworks.
